FAQ
Questions we get all the time
If something here is still unclear, ask on Discord or open a ticket and a person answers.
General
Proxies are automated end to end, so credentials land in your dashboard once payment clears. For Windows VPS, bare metal and Mac minis we confirm the handover time when you order.
Yes, twelve months after purchase. Until then it stays on your balance with no monthly burn-down. Monthly plan GB roll over instead of expiring at the end of the month.
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB through Stripe. Prices are in US dollars, and any tax that applies is shown at checkout before you pay. Crypto payment is not available yet.
Yes. The unused part of a proxy purchase is refundable within 14 days of purchase; bandwidth already used is not. Servers are refundable within 48 hours of provisioning if the hardware does not meet its published specification. The Refund Policy at foidproxy.com/legal/refunds has the details and how to ask.
We issue a 250 MB premium residential trial on request through Discord or a ticket, once per customer. No card needed.
Username and password on the gateway, or IP whitelisting if you would rather skip credentials. Both can be active at the same time.
City, state and ASN, yes, on Premium and Premier Residential, and ZIP on Premium only. Standard and Mobile target by country only. Targeting lives in the username string, so you can change it per request without touching your account settings.
Yes. Pay as you go runs down a published ladder, so a bigger order drops the per-GB rate for the whole order, and the prepaid packs sit at the same rungs. A monthly plan is cheaper again at every size. Past the biggest pack, get in touch and we will quote the run by hand.
Anything illegal where you are operating from, plus DDoS, spam, credential stuffing, carding, CSAM and malware distribution. The Acceptable Use Policy has the full list.
By product
It targets by country and nothing finer, and the exits are not re-scored between sessions. For a crawl that only needs to come from a real household in the right country, none of that matters and you should not pay for it.
No. City, state and ASN targeting are on Premium and Premier, and ZIP is on Premium only. If you need a specific market rather than a specific country, start on Premium instead.
There is no thread cap. Fair-use throttling only applies above 5,000 concurrent sessions, and we will raise that if you ask.
Every exit is checked against fraud, blacklist and reachability tests once a day. Anything that has drifted out of range leaves rotation before you hit it, which is most of the difference between this tier and Standard.
Yes, by ASN. Put asn-7922 (Comcast, for example) in the username alongside country, state, city and ZIP, at no extra charge. When a filter has too few live IPs the gateway widens it step by step rather than failing.
Country, state, city and ASN, set in the username string, for example user-country-us-state-tx-city-dallas. ZIP, speed and quality filters are on Premium. None of them cost extra.
Because everything that fails the score is out of it. A smaller clean pool beats a large mixed one on the targets this tier exists for, and if you do not have one of those targets, Premium is the better buy.
No. Mobile targets by country, rotating or sticky. For state, city or ASN targeting, use Premium or Premier Residential.
Leave the session option out and every connection gets a new exit, or change the session id in the username to move a sticky session onto a fresh IP.
Per gigabyte, like every other pool on the site. You are not renting a fixed list of IPs by the month, so a quiet month costs you less rather than the same.
Within a session, yes, for the sticky window you set (up to 24 hours). Keep the same session id in the username and the gateway hands the exit back to you.
Datacenter ranges are easy to fingerprint, so use them for unprotected APIs and monitoring. For anything with bot detection, go residential or ISP.
Yes. Ask for subnet diversity when you order and your traffic is spread across distinct /24 ranges rather than concentrated in one.
